We give back in the best ways that we can. Whether it’s creativity, expertise, manual labor, or simply time, we try to help make our communities and our world a better place. Here are a few examples:
The Emerson School
The fourth and fifth graders at The Emerson School visit our studio and offices each year to learn about music, music recording techniques, and the business of music. It’s a lot of fun for everyone, and the kids learn that being a recording artist is, indeed, really cool. But also really, really hard.
Not A Crime
We meet a lot of amazing people through music. In 2004, we met a group of graffiti artists that just didn’t fit the "gangsta/hoodlum" image propagated by a lot of the press. These guys were talented, creative individuals, and they all spoke of a need for a legal outlet for their art.
Not A Crime was launched to change some of the errant perceptions of graf artists and to rally support for legal art parks. Check it out ›
Starve Ups
Founded in 2000 as a new kind of networking group, Starve Ups’ mission is to make failure an unacceptable business strategy for fledgling companies. By sharing insights, feedback, resources, and networks, we move forward with the success of the whole as our goal. "Support. Sustain. Succeed." is our mantra.
